Your own help centre

Set up your help centre

Publish a help centre for your customers with your name, colour and logo, where they find answers and follow their requests.

Help centreUpdated on

Your help centre is a public website of answers for your customers, made in Texa Desk. Customers find answers without writing to you. They can also send a request and follow it there. Texa AI can use the same articles, so you write each answer once.

Make your help centre

  1. Go to Help center in the menu.
  2. If you don’t have one yet, choose Create new portal. Give it a Name, such as “Ada Foods help”, and a Slug, the short name in its address, such as ada-foods. Choose Create.
  3. Open Settings and set:
    • Logo, Header text (such as “How can we help?”) and Page title.
    • Home page link: your own website, which the help centre links back to.
    • Brand color: your colour, for links and buttons.
    • Appearance: Classic or Documentation, which has a side menu of categories.
    • Social links, and analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4, if you use them.

Your help centre’s address is shown in its settings. Share it on your website, in your email signature and in your WhatsApp profile.

Your own address

To show the help centre at your own address, such as help.adafoods.ng, add it under Custom domain. Your domain then needs a DNS record and a certificate on our side, so chat with us first and we’ll set it up with you.

Languages

Under Locales, add the languages you publish in. Each language has its own categories and articles. Customers switch language in the help centre.

What customers see

  • A search box and your categories, each with its articles.
  • My requests: their own requests, after confirming a code. See Let customers follow their requests.
  • Light and dark mode, on phones and computers.

Next: Write help articles.
