Studies and AI interviews

Find out why customers do what they do, with interviews Texa AI runs by voice or text, and reports where every finding quotes what people said.

Help centreUpdated on

A survey tells you what customers think. A study finds out why. Texa AI interviews each person, by voice or typed, asking follow-up questions until each answer gives what the question is for.

Draft a study

  1. Go to Texa AI → Research → Studies.
  2. Under What do you want to learn?, write at least a sentence or two in your own words. Say who you want to hear from too. For example: “Why do customers stop using our app after their first transfer? We want to hear from people who signed up in the last three months and haven’t transferred since.”
  3. Give it a Name (for you).
  4. Choose Draft the study. Texa drafts the interview in a minute or two.

Check it

The draft shows:

  • Who it is for, About how long it takes, and What it expects to find.
  • Qualifying questions, asked to check someone is the right person to interview.
  • The interview: each question with Why it is asked. The interviewer asks each one in her own words.
  • Assumptions it guards against: questions that would have led people to an answer.
  • Taken out by the checks: anything Texa removed, and why.

Choose Edit the questions, then Save and check, to change them.

Approve and launch

Type Your full name under Approve. Approving locks the interview exactly as it is. To change it later, change the brief and draft a new one.

Then Launch starts the campaign that runs this approved study. Invite people the same way as a survey. Each person gets their own link, and the interview runs in their browser, by voice or typed.

The report

Every theme quotes people’s own words, with the interview and the second it was said. Every answer is in a theme or listed as not fitting one.

Share the report with Make a link: anyone with the link can read it until it expires, and you can withdraw it at any time. It prints as a PDF, or as slides. Record a change notes what your team changed because of a finding.

What it costs

Each completed interview costs 100 credits.
