Webhooks

Get each event pushed to your server as it happens, signed so you know it came from Texa, and check every delivery.

Help centreUpdated on

Webhooks push each event to your server as it happens, such as a reply, a hand-over or a closed conversation. Each one is signed, so you know it came from Texa. The same events are also on GET /v1/events, in order.

Add a webhook

  1. Go to Texa AI → Developers → Webhooks and choose New webhook.
  2. Enter Your server’s address. It must be https and reachable from the internet. The sandbox may use http while you build.
  3. Choose Events from sandbox or live, and the Events you want.
  4. Add a Description and save.
  5. Copy the signing secret and choose I have copied it. This is the only time it’s shown. Your server uses it to check each request.

Choose Send a test event to check your server receives it.

Check a webhook is from Texa

Compute the signature with your signing secret and compare it with the X-Texa-Signature header. Reject a request whose X-Texa-Timestamp is more than 5 minutes old, and any X-Texa-Event-Id you’ve already seen. The Python SDK does it for you with webhooks.verify. See the webhooks guide.

Deliveries

Each webhook lists what was sent and how your server answered. Choose Send again to repeat a delivery. To change the secret, choose New signing secret. The old one stops working at once.

Texa Desk’s own webhooks

For events from Texa Desk itself, such as a new conversation, a message or a ticket being created or updated, use Settings → Integrations → Webhooks.
