Before you ask
Export anything you want to keep, such as reports, contacts or conversations, because closing deletes them. See Reports and Contacts.
Ask us
The account’s Owner, or someone on their behalf, asks through Talk to us on texadesk.com or the live chat. Texa staff confirm with the Owner, then close the account. There’s no button in Texa Desk for this yet.
What stops at once
- Your team can no longer sign in. The account shows as suspended.
- Texa AI stops answering customers.
- Campaigns stop.
- API keys, website widget keys and webhooks are switched off.
Your administrators get an email saying when the account closes for good.
14 days to change your mind
Write to us before the date in that email, and we’ll reopen the account. Texa AI then stays off in each inbox until you turn it back on, in Texa AI → Agent and inboxes. API keys and webhooks have to be made again.
On the date
The account and its data are deleted for good: conversations, contacts, files, and Texa AI’s knowledge and settings. The last copy leaves our backups within 14 more days.
What is kept
- Payment records, for six years, as tax law requires.
- Complaint records your regulator requires, for its period, or two years if it sets none. They’re kept without your customers’ details: no contact, no name and nothing the customer wrote. After closing you can no longer see them. Texa holds them for the regulator, then deletes them.
